READING/SCIENCE~ Our essential question this week is "What so we know about Earth and its neighbors?" We will be reading expository text. Some skills we will be working on will be main idea and detail and summarizing.  
 
GRAMMAR~ We will be working with past tense verbs. . 

SPELLING~ Our words this week will contain r-controlled vowels. The assessment will be on Friday March 3.


MATH
~ We will  begin chapter 7 continuing division. Our assessment on chapter 6 will be on Tuesday, February 28. We will continue our timed multiplication quizzes each Friday. This weeks facts will include 0-8. The children should be studying their flash cards each night for about 10-15 minutes. Fluency in multiplication is very important.    

RELIGION ~ This Wednesday, March 1 is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. We will be discussing the season of Lent as well as beginning chapter 5 which discusses the beginning of the early Church.

SCIENCE ~ This week we will continue our study of animals. We will recognize and understand the different life cycles of animals. 

SOCIAL STUDIES~ We will begin our chapter discussing the different types of communities.
