READING/ELA/SOCIAL STUDIES~ Our essential question this week is "How can you use what you know to help others?". The genre we will be reading this week is realistic fiction. The children will be learning to ask and answer questions and identify the point of view while reading. We will continue working with prefixes.
The children should be completing reading using the website Raz-Kids each day to help improve their reading skills. The log in information for each child is taped in their homework notebook. This is a requirement and I will be looking at their progress.

SPELLING~ Our words this week will contain plural words.  They will be assessed on Friday, March 23.

~ We will continue working with past tense verbs.

MATH~ Chapter 7 continues our study of division. We will become more fluent using our division equations. We will also be working on multi step problems.
We will also be doing activities to become more fluent. Part of the children's homework each night will be to use flashcards to practice their multiplication facts. They should be studying them EACH night for at least 10 minutes. The children will be having timed tests each week to assess their knowledge of their facts. This weeks facts that will be tested will be 0-9 on Thursday, March 22.

SCIENCE~ We will be learning about the different parts of a food chain.

RELIGION~ We will complete chapter 5 about how the apostles led the early Church and shared the Good News of Jesus with others. Our assessment will be Friday, March 23.

Have a wonderful week!!
