HAPPY THANKSGIVING

                            " Enter his gates with thanksgiving
                              and his courts with praise;
                              give thanks to him and praise his name."
                                                                                Psalm 100:4

   We're beginning a new unit on The Patriarchs of the Old Testament. We'll be learning about Abraham as we study the importance of God giving him a new name and entering into solemn agreement with him.
We are also using our Google Chrome Books to research connections to our Catholic faith by using a particular image as a springboard for our group ideas. This will lead us to our November Saint Project as we explore certain religious themes in the lives of saints while discovering what led them to give their lives to God in both word and deed.

We are also asking the intercession of the Saints this month of 'All Saints"  and we will pray for all in our Notre Dame family to these wonderful examples of holiness and service to the Lord.

OVERVIEW OF 6TH GRADE RELIGION:
In Grade 6 we begin to study the Hebrew Scriptures, the basis of our Catholic faith. We will see what God's Word means through highlights of the Old Testament as we study the lives and significant events of our ancestors in faith.
