Through developmentally appropriate activities and constructed play centers, the children learn about themselves, others and the world. Each week, a new letter, color or theme is introduced.
Classwork and projects are developed around the season and theme.
The children begin their day with a simple prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
They participate with the rest of the school at prayer services and liturgies.
Teachers frequently share a Bible story with the class and discuss Religious holidays.
Each class begins with a “morning meeting” at which they learn about the calendar, the weather, plans for the day and special events.
We celebrate special days, and families of our pre-schoolers can look forward to wonderful classroom performances throughout the year!
There are opportunities for you to visit and enjoy class performances. These include the Halloween performance/Costume Parade, Thanksgiving feast and Balloon Parade, Christmas Performance, Winter Performance, Circus (PK), Mother’s Day, and End of the Year celebration

Our Nursery students love to come to school. Our classroom is a place where fun is encouraged and smiles and laughter are mandatory. Special crafts according to the season, painting, songs and nursery rhymes, playing inside and out are all a part of our morning. We learn how to follow classroom routines while making new friends. We have a special outdoor play area just for Nursery students and we also enjoy the indoor play room.

Our Pre-K classrooms are filled with learning, exploration, and FUN! During our daily morning meetings, the children learn about the weather, calendar, patterns, and days of the week. Our weekly thematic units such as transportation, insects, the five senses, and dinosaurs integrate activities in all subject areas. The children learn their letters and sounds as well as number recognition and formation. Most importantly, our pre-schoolers learn how to be a friend, share, and cooperate. They are taught about God’s love and how to appreciate the gifts that He has given to us. We celebrate special days and families of our pre-schoolers can look forward to wonderful classroom performances throughout the year!

There are many fun events and happenings throughout the school year in which our Pre-k students participate:
Video-Conferences especially tailored to their age and thematic units
The older children often serve as “buddies” – pairing grade levels for activities assists both groups – older children have a feeling of responsibility; younger children have someone that they look up to. Younger children have positive role models. Older children demonstrate caring and loving concern. It empowers them to know that they can help others. Interactions among and between grade levels is priceless.
Students bring lunch from home and they eat in their classroom. After lunch, there is time to “rest and digest” each day. Students in Nursery enjoy both a morning and afternoon snack brought from home.
Pre-K Hot lunch is available daily. Pre-K students have lunch with Kindergarteners and First Grade. After lunch, there is time to “rest and digest” each day. Students in PK enjoy an afternoon snack brought from home.
