There are many exciting learning experiences in first grade.  They enjoy using new reading strategies, as well as working hands on in literacy centers.  Our teachers utilize Fundations, as well as Fountas and Pinnell.  Math skills are reinforced through engaging games and activities. The Daily 5 activities help students master reading and writing skills.  The children also learn about their faith throughout the day.  First graders study Italian twice a week and participate in special performances showcasing their language skills. First grade students are always happy to spend time with their eighth grade buddies and especially look forward to celebrating holidays and going to church together.
