I have been a teacher and administrator for forty years! I began teaching at St. Gregory the Great in Bellerose, NY. While at St. Gregory's, I taught seventh and eighth grade ELA, Literature and Social Studies. I was the moderator of the Student Council, too. I have also taught at St. Vincent dePaul in Elmont and most recently, at Corpus Christi School in Mineola. Besides teaching grades six, seven and eight ELA at Corpus Christi, I was the building Assistant Principal and the chair of the Junior High department. One of the most exciting things I did at Corpus Christi was to be the chair of the Middle States Accreditation Committee. Here at Notre Dame School I served as the Chair of the Middle States Accreditation Committee as well. My Master's degree is in School Counseling and I have a PD in Educational Leadership from St. John's University. I have three children--one living and working in upstate New York, another working in Manhattan, and one living and working in Pennsylvania.

Catholic school has always been an important part of my life. I am so glad to be at Notre Dame School with all of you!
From the Principal
What a terrific day we had at Notre Dame School! We welcomed many new students from a range of schools. Our "old timers" made sure to make them feel welcome! Our enrollment continues to be healthy. We have more than 450 students this year, with two sections of each grade. Our smallest citizens will begin at a slightly slower pace, starting with an introduction to their class and ending the week with a full day. They will be using the playgrounds, having lunch in the cafeteria and learning to take turns. Many thanks to those families who recommended Notre Dame School to a friend or neighbor.
Please keep our
Early Childhood program in mind. Our registration for both our Pre-K and Nursery program is healthy. Perhaps your friend or neighbor is looking around for a wonderful Pre-K or Nursery program. Inquiries may be directed to our school office. Open Houses will be scheduled--please check the calendar.
This year, our students will enjoy the latest in technology--we currently have 55 iPads in use. Students enjoy video conferences which enhance their understanding of their classroom curriculum. Last year, a popular destination was the Buffalo Zoo, along with many museums and Science Centers. Grade 7 viewed Sacred Art and learned about the Lewis and Clark expedition, while Grade 8 enjoyed conferences on both World Wars I and II in the spring.
Remember--wouldn't it be terrific if every family brought a family?
God's blessings on you and your family as we begin anew!
