About MeI am excited to be your child's teacher this year, which will be my seventh at Notre Dame School. I have undergraduate degrees in Early Childhood/Childhood Education and English as well as a graduate degree in Literacy Education, all from Hofstra University. So long, Pre-K, it's been fun...
...Kindergarten, here we come!
Pre-K students had a great year together and it was a wonderful blessing to celebrate with everyone at our Step Up Ceremony. We thank you so much for all of your help and cooperation throughout the year. It has been a gift to work with each Pre-K family and we wish everyone a happy and safe summer!

*Fine motor activities are very important and will help the children to strengthen the muscles in their hands. We do many of these activities in school and some of them can be done at home as well. If you are seeking activities that can be done outside of school, you may like to refer to this list of fun and practical fine motor activities. -
Pre-K Prayers*Our class prays daily, including the "Our Father" and the "Hail Mary."
Before lunch, we pray:
Bless us, O Lord, and these, Thy gifts,
which we are about to receive from Thy bounty,
through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
After lunch, we pray:
We give Thee thanks for all Thy benefits,
O Lord, who livest and reignest world without end. Amen
Before snack, we pray
Thank You for the food we eat; thank You for the friends we meet.
Thank You for our work and play; thank You for this happy day. Amen.

Arrival and Dismissal ProceduresArrival Procedures
*Morning Care will begin at 7:45 AM. If you would like to make use of Morning Care, please be sure you have completed the necessary paperwork. Students attending Morning Care may enter through the Front Doors, where their temperature will be taken and they will be walked to the classroom.
*Regular arrival will begin at 8:35 AM at the South Doors. Valet Arrival is an option you may like to use but it is not mandatory. Please refer to the valet guidelines that went home during the first week of school but let me know if you have any quetsions at all. Parents using valet arrival must remain inside their car and wait until the car ahead has pulled away to leave the line. Parents who are choosing not to use valet must not park in the valet line or block any area driveways for any amount of time. Thank you!
Dismissal Procedures
*Students will be dismissed at the South Entrance at 11:15 AM or 3:00 PM. If another adult will pick up your child, please let me know that day via a signed note in the morning and provide a photocopy of that person's photo identification. Please ask that person to bring photo identification to school on that day to ensure a smooth and safe dismissal. Thank you! -
