Educating Hearts and Minds for
More than Seventy Years
Welcome to Ms. Baer's Class Page!
Welcome to Kindergarten! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer! My name is Caitlin Baer and I am thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten this year. I would like to tell you a little about myself. This will be my third year at Notre Dame, the last two years you may have seen me in Second Grade, in addition to teaching Second Grade I have taught Pre-K and Fifth Grade. I have been teaching for a combined seven years and have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and Students with Disabilities. Kindergarten is such a wonderful year to learn and grow and make wonderful memories. I cannot wait for all that we will discover in this fantastic school community. Let’s have a great year!
During this school year we will be working on creating a happy, safe, academically challenging, and fun learning environment. There is always a great deal of laughter in Kindergarten when it comes to exploring and learning something new. Throughout the year we will be focusing on Phonics/ Language Arts, Writing, Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Religion. The class will also be enjoying many centers in the classroom that help each child build on his/her academic, social, and emotional skills. Some more excitement throughout our day comes from the six different specials we will have during the week; Art, Italian, Music, Library, Physical Education, Teachonoly.
